Mt Timp pt 2

Once we made it up some pretty steep switch backs and over a ridge, we came to this beautiful meadow with a great view.

We also met a lot of goats in the valley! They weren't scared of us at all and they were pretty cute to look at. There were about ten of them here in the valley and crossed the path we were on.

We finally made it to where we were going to camp out at. It is called Emerald Lake. That Glacier there is what we ended up sliding down from the summit. This lake also feeds the waterfalls down below. The water was so clear and blue. Definitely worth the climb up.
Near the top, we took a break to have some trail mix. Our little friend here kept coming back for a treat. Robb was nice enough to share a walnut with him since I couldn't eat the nuts. He is obviously enjoying himself.

Mt Timp

After an hour on the wrong trail and about forty minutes on the right trail, we were very tired and hot. Luckily, we came to the first waterfall! This picture shows our poor attempts at figuring out the self timer on my camera. We were so hot we thought about jumping in, but in the end we only got our feet in. The water was really cold.
This is the second waterfall we came to. Some nice kid took our picture for us. This is about an hour on the real trail and we were already super tired.
Here is Robb thinking about getting in the glacier water.
There was a nice cool mist that helped us cool down.
Another nice shot of Robb and I near the waterfall.
